When you are losing weight, it is your focus. You usually have a goal, or best a bunch of small goals. You are focused on it, you want to achieve it.
You are usually starting fresh so cutting things out of your life like Pop, junk food in mass quanties, etc. You are adding in exercise where there was little to none. All working together for your greater goal.
What comes next though is what I now know & understand is the actual HARDEST part.
Having met your goal & maintaining!
I have talked to a few people that said, once they met their goal they honestly just fell off the wagon. Especially if their goal was an event or timeframe. ( Like a wedding or summer ). Once the wedding came, eh. Once summer had started, Eh. It no longer held that importance, and off the wagon you fell. Sometimes it was food slips or over indulging, sometimes it was missing your exercise, and once you miss too much, it is way easier to continue to miss & way harder to get back into it.
Maintainin is a bear in general that is for sure. Adding in that I had started a new medicine that made me gain weight, just really beats you down. Now I am off of it, because it surely wasn't worth it, but the "damage" so to speak has been done. Now, I need to get back on track with eating, working out, etc.
At first I felt like, I was someone that should hid. How can I be an inspiration, if I fell off the wagon? How can I say you can do it, when yeah I did it, but then gained some back. Who wants to be inspired by someone like that?
As I talked to a few people though what they said because clear to me. That I can get back into it, work harder, keep at it, is an inspiration. Maintaining isn't a walk in the park, LOL. It is, in a way, the hardest part because it is long term. There is no ending goal really, because there is no end. That people see people can "fall", cry it out, but get back up & go at it, might be just what someone else sees.
I have already lost some of the weight that I gained. And still going at it to get back where I was. So remember when you are struggling with either weight loss or maintaining, we got this!

Work Outs
2 years ago ( and before ) when someone would talk about working out, I would be like, Why? Why would you want to do that? It is a pain, how do you find the time, isn't it miserable, etc.
They would tell you, you find the time, you make the time, it makes you feel good not miserable, etc.
I would just shake my head, couldn't get my head wrapped around that.
Yesterday, I realized, I have turned to totally wrapping my head around it. Not only have "I", I have also got others wrapping their heads around it.
Working out now, I feel better when I do, and feel awful when I don't. When the time slips away, and I have to miss, I am miserable, not happy.
Zumba is my love & my passion. It is the fun, the excitement, the silliness, and joy. But I am enjoying Spinning & couch to 5 k. Going to try out HIIT & possibly Pilates... LOL. I am sure I will have my behind handed to me on the last two, but, I like the instructor of HIIT alot, so still should be a good time.
I am happy that working out is something I do now. And when I have to miss, I hate it. So, will try to miss way less :)

Zumba Anywhere
So, after having Zumba class on Saturday, there was a picnic that evening. What else would get everyone smiling & hooting but...ZUMBA! Yep. 95 plus degree heat, but Zumba was rocking on the driveway :) Total fun! I think we did 8 songs, just a blast. Older people moving their arms to follow in their chairs & others now interested in the fun, WIN!
I find myself doing some moves out in public & darn if a guy doesn't always catch me, then comment, LOL. Oh well LOL.
LOVING the New Song, El Jefe. Find myself always doing that one :) So ready for Zumba tonight :)

POLKA!!!!!!
I looooveeee the Polka! Zumba Polka is just such a blast! Just NOT possible to be frowning after this song! LOL.
Just saying!!
So I had a blast at Zumba last night :) ( Shocked I know you are )
Then did Couch to 5 K. With the cooler temps & low humidity yesterday, it was great! Ready for it tonights one ( Til the jogging starts that is... )

How its going...
Pretty good!
With work or Jonathan working or Doctors Appts it has been hard for me to get to Spin lately. At least getting back to one this week.
Today I had to sign into work early for training, so had to miss. Wednesday I have a Doctors appt. So will get there Friday.
Zumba Saturday was alot of fun :) I think that was Brittany's last one that she was subbing for Rachel. Still Loving Wobble :) ROFL. Too much fun to Wobble :) But happy to hear that Brittany will be having a Sunday Spin & Zumba Classes! WOOT! Another Day of Zumba!! LOL. I know, just what I needed, but um, yeah it is!! Spin too, so I can get in another day of Spinning. Waiting to see that schedule for Intense Fitness & get that on the fridge.
Tonight is Rachel/Briese Zumba, WOOT! Can't wait til Rachel is back in full swing, though I am having a ton of fun with Briese teaching too. Love My Rachel! :)
After Zumba tonight, going on to Week 2 on Couch to 5K. Woot. It will kick my butt, I AM SURE, but that is ok. I need my butt kicked :) Couch to 5 K with a friend is way better of a way to do it :)

Missing Zumba Today
Jonathan will have my car today so will me missing Zumba. Bummed, as it is a B & B special, LOL. But, it is okay. Sometimes you have to do those things, LOL.
Zumba last night was a sweat fest. Man, makes you want to think about portable air conditioning units... LOL. But it was good. Even played a fun game, LOL. I love Rachel's Game :) Tons of fun!
My Friend & I did couch to 5 K again yesterday. Yes again after Zumba, LOL. It was soooo humid, it was rough. Two people with breathing problems, who of course, didn't take their inhalers. We are taking today off. And doing our third time for the week tomorrow. Really want to keep up with it. Now to have the check list:
Bug Spray, Inhalers, Belt pack for water, Check!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. ( First day forgot all 3, second day forgot the last two, 3rd times the charm right? )
Not saying I will EVER run a 5 k. But, I can jog a bit more to get done a bit faster. And it is a good work out :) My feet are trying to fight me on this, but they will get over it ;) They always fight when I have something new, but, they know I always win.
Double Zumba tomorrow ( Woot! ). And its my Friday ( Double Woot! )

After Zumba Work out
Well, Started doing Couch to 5 K with a friend. Had heard about it from a couple friends, I had wanted to try it, But just never did. Started yesterday, OUCH! LOL. I am not a jogger or a runner by far. But, it is a great work out. We headed out after Zumba & did work out one. Today will get to work out two & then Thursday will be work out three. Saturday, just going to walk some, to not have a space of time without anything ( walking wise ).
We are going to a 5 K in July & One in August with other Zumba Chickas. Should be fun. Would like to do 2 more also before the end of the year. I did 3 last year, would like to do at least 4 this year :).
Without Zumba, there was no way in heck, I would have been able to do the 5 K's last year. And no way this year either. Zumba's work out last night was surely intense, but surely made me ready for the work out of the Couch to 5 K.
