Zumba Zumba!

I did my Zumba Flat Abs this morning. I am glad I am back into that.

Then tonight, ZUMBA ROCKED! I don't know what it was about tonight but it was just a sweat fest & just AWESOME! Totally got me out of the funk I had gotten into all day. So that is always great. Course that is what Zumba ALWAYS does for me. Love being with the girls & having a BLAST!

Then we went walking after. Got in 2 miles.

16, 880 ish steps in today. But I am quite tired now after that kick butt Zumba :)

And its Monday

I almost didn't do my flat abs! EKK!  I know it! Luckily a friend was online & when I said I couldn't get motivated she said go do it. LOL. Yay! I did get that in before work.

Work systems were down ALL day long. So I was able to get all the laundry caught up! That was awesome. Plus that means I was going down two stories & up two stories alot today. When normally I just sit for 8 hours. So that was also good.

Jonathan had scouts tonight so walked at Pearson Park where he was having his meeting. Did 2 miles & then a friend joined me & we did 2 more miles. Made me feel alot better to get some more steps in. Friday, not sure if I mentioned it, I totally forgot to have my Pedometer on! ALL DAY LONG! I didn't get 1 step logged. First time since I have gotten it. How awful! Talk about a major brain fart! LOL. But I know I did alot so that is all that matters.

Tomorrow is awesome Zumba with Rachel. I will do my flat abs too in the morning! LOL.

I need to change or add or who knows. I am running into that "brick wall" that my friend who has lost 80 said I would hit. It has never been easy or fast for me, but in the past 2 months it was steady. Now, I am stuck & it is really annoying! LOL. I really want to lose 10 more pounds ( what I should lose is another story LOL But 10 would be great ), so hoping I can just get right on over this wall that I am being slammed into. I do have to work more on that. Hopefully I can:)

Walking Sunday

Today we went to a flea market about an hour away. It is bigger than most around here. It was nice time to hang with my guys & of course to get in steps :)

Also went walking with the girls. We have a set "date" to walk Sunday nights. We went out to Moraine & got in 6 miles. Loving it! :) Don't like that the dark is starting to come sooner but I do like the crisp air of fall. We had a good time like we always do :) A tank I had bought that was tight when I bought it, is so big now it hangs too low & my whole bra shows. For sure last time wearing that!

I got in 18,860 steps in so far today. Will get about a hundred or so more before bed. I am ready for sure but need to wait til Jake heads off to work.

Tomorrow is Jonathan's first day of Junior Year. So I will be up early seeing him off, getting some pictures, etc.

Open House

Today I went with a friend who Zumba's with me all the time & I got into Zumba Toning and a Brand New to Zumba friend to an open house of a new Zumba place. The New To Zumba Friend lives in that area & I do Toning with these instructors. It was really nice. I was thinking, Man can't wait til my Rachel ( Yes I always say my Rachel, ROFL ) could have that. She is trying to & it will be awesome when she can & I can be the one helping with the Open House not just going to check it out. We did do a demo to show the new to Zumba friend. She was concerned about could she do it, and hopefully we eased her mind some. The instructors talked to her & let her know it takes time. After the demo they let her know she did great :) And she did :).

After that went walking with the friend that drove me over. Since we didn't get to do more than one song & not really get in a Zumba or Zumba toning. We did 3 miles out at Moraine.

Jake was working on the van so got back to help with that. Then we went to the Fly In at the Local Little Airport. Jonathan was working it with Civil Air Patrol so got great pictures, seen all the planes & classic cars plus got in a TON of steps :) YAY! 17,670 right now. Won't get much more but I am sure at least another hundred.

Zumba Rocked

Zumba last night was awesome. My legs are feeling the Irish ... Song. LOL. It was great. Lots of fun! It was a very sweaty but awesome night. Even got a booty smack out of La Bamba, Woot Woot!! :) Tons of fun!

Everyone was not happy I was going to be missing. It made me feel good that so many cared :) Hope that time FLIES so I can be back. DVD's are NOT going to be same. NO WAY IN HECK! Missing my Rachel for sure won't be good, and then all my Zumba Friends will suck.

Then did some walking last night after Zumba. Got in a ton of steps. As I am typing this though I am realizing I left my pedometer upstairs, yuck! LOL. Have to go get that now. With doing laundry I will for sure be getting some steps going up & down the stairs. Will be doing Zumba on the tv at some point today since Friday is a non zumba day. Off to get my pedometer & change out laundry :)

Sad news has cometh...

Well, I really don't want to talk about it because it really brings me down. But I am going to have to miss Zumba for 6 weeks. Well Zumba for Rachel. Yes, you heard that right. Yesterday it was very rough for me. I know people are like, whats the big deal? So its 6 weeks, you will get back...Yeah you are all right. But, it is still hard. This is not something here or there for me. Something I miss because something "better" comes along. Yes if something has to be happened & no way around it, sure miss but otherwise I just can't. That is my stress release, that is my fun time, that is where I get to talk to friends, Hang out with friends, people are happy I'm there. What if I lose my spot?! What if people don't miss me after week 2? . I know silly but things that run thru my head. Then of course the major thing, what if I back pedal, what if I gain weight back? What if don't do enough to lose anymore. ( Course I don't know if I can lose anymore but still trying ).

Training hours are going to be smack in the middle of the day & long, so that really messes with things. My eating is going to be totally screwed up because my lunch will be mid afternoon. ( so weird ) Not enough time to really do much in the mornings or after, because it is getting darker earlier & earlier. So alot of sitting on my butt. Have to pay attention, lots of info in a small time, so can't be sneaking off to my gazelle & just listening either, LOL.

I will have my dvd's at home ( which isn't the same but better than NOTHING ), Saturday Zumba Toning & Zumba Regular, Try to do some walking & hopefully a Zumbathon will pop up somewhere :) Trying to think positive & hope the 6 weeks I can't be there FLIES!

My Last Zumba Day with Rachel for 6 weeks is September 1st. Pout!

I will make it thru. It sucks sometimes the things we have to do, but, I have to do this for more pay & more benefit.

SO this means all you that CAN go, BETTER go! Go in my place, start it, love it, Do it!!! :) Make me feel better by making sure you are going & starting it!!! Come on! You can do it!

A whole lotta shaking going on

So today an earthquake hit Virginia & we felt it up here! I have never been in one and I know this was beyond mild our way, but wow! Weird feeling!

Lots of other shaking going on too. I did stick with it & did my Zumba Flat abs this morning. Yay me.

Today was also ZUMBA with Rachel! Which of course always rocks!!! Even though she threw in Hotel California ( Eeeekkkkkkkkk my dreaded song ), I love her anyway!! LOL. We for sure rocked La Bamba. Just love that song :) Had the fun line going & all :) Woot Woot!

Someone at Zumba brought in more hip scarves so more people were rocking the hip scarves. Woot Woot! That is so awesome & so much fun! Makes you shake it more, pop your hip more & shimmy more, which is always of course awesome.

I did a goof today. I forgot to change my pedometer over from the pants to my work out clothes. I missed about 3 songs plus all the walking around, etc. I did get myself back to 10,000. But missing a good bit. Oh well, it happens, LOL.

The people you meet when you walk...

One of my regular walking partners was still at work. So I planned to work while Jonathan was at his scout meeting. It was the last meeting at Pearson Park. So off I went to walk the trail when I hear, Michelle! It was someone from Zumba :) So off we went! It was a great time of talking & laughing, story telling & learning more about each other. It was great. We kicked it fast & got in 4 miles in a blink. Very awesome!

I am so glad I went too. As I explained, Mondays are a hard day for me with steps/exercise. So that was just perfect. It was of course also nice to learn more about a wonderful person & talk.

Only at 13,000 but that is over my 10,000 goal so I am happy.

So glad tomorrow is Zumba & hold me accountable, I better do my Zumba Flat Abs tomorrow morning! LOL.

Back on Track

I had gotten the Zumba Dvd's in the past. Not really to replace going to Zumba because for me, it is NO WHERE NEAR the same. I wouldn't do it if I had to just do dvd's or there is also a game. The energy, fun & friendship isn't there. The dvds are mainly as a filler if I couldn't go. Well in checking them out, there is a Flat Abs one that is only 18 minutes. Love it! A. Abs is where I need a ton of work. B. 18 minutes is possible in the morning before work. I was doing really well, then totally bombed on doing it. I am started back at it & hope that the blog posts will help me more accountable to do it. Plus we replaced our VERY VERY OLD and was VERY VERY cheap DVD player so now I wouldn't get frustrated when it won't play. It plays perfect & fine now, yay!

I did that this morning already, Yay me! Mondays, with scouts, makes it so I can't Zumba. Its a bummer because all the places do it at the times I can't with drop off & pick up. So until Jonathan gets his license, I will just walk instead. It isn't the same steps/calories burned/whole body work out, but it is better than doing nothing LOL.


Mondays are always hard as it is my long day at work. So I sit most all of the day attached to a computer & phone. Then, it is li dinner, then scouts, then work again then get Jake to work & bed. So it is always my horrible day for exercise. I am really glad I got the flat abs in, I walk tonight too while he is at scouts, so that will help.

Yesterday there wasn't Zumba either. Most places don't offer Sunday at all. It is very hard to find a Sunday Zumba. So went walking with a friend. Got in 4 miles. That with all my other walking around yesterday with my guys, I got almost 16,000 steps. Yay!

Zumba Toning

So my friend came to her first toning class. She really liked it & for sure going to be coming back! Woot Woot! It was alot of fun.

My other friend forgot to set her alarm so she didn't make it for the regular Zumba class. Pout! But hopefully she will make it to another one.

I got in 15,371 steps so far today so that is really awesome :)

I went thru the pictures from Party in the Pink & finally got them up & posted. Make sure to check those out.

After almost a whole week of Zumba of some sort, tomorrow is going to be withdrawal, LOL. Still going to go walking so that is great!

But we still had TONS of fun!

We had fun dancing & talking in the car. Waiting in line to register. Running up to our spot! We danced, we laughed, we cried ( when the survivors or those going thru treatment right now were talking ) & we laughed some more! It was a great day! ( Minus the time standing out of the rain with hopes it would stop, LOL. )

But all in all it was awesome. 100% of the proceeds are going to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Beto is going to come BACK to Pittsburgh & we can go to that one free.

It was spent with great friends & a wonderful husband! We had so much fun together, laughed & laughed & smiled & smiled. I am thankful for good friends. I am so thankful for my understanding & caring husband. He is happy I go to Zumba, wants me to go to every & any Zumbathon, Master class, Zumba Class I can go to. He will go with me & take pictures just to spend time with me, but not be "in the way" and trying to get me to not pay attention to what I am doing. For every time I called, Jake take this picture or that, he also did 10 on his own to grab our fun & silliness :) Gave me his rain coat & had fun at the baseball game when sports really aren't his thing. LOL. When his poor eyes were shutting from being awake 24 hours, he still wouldn't leave to go lay down in the van. I am thankful for him.

We did a few of our own zumba moves to songs playing but never did get to fully Zumba! That is okay, fitting in two today. Toning & Regular Zumba. Taking a friend to Toning for the first time & Zumba for the first time today! Woot Woot!

Today's the day!!!!!

PARTY IN PINK!!!! Zumbathon in Pittsburgh with Beto & Company! 50% of proceeds goes to Susan G. Komen for the cure!!!! This is going to be such a fun day! Jake gets to go too!!! That will be awesome. Get to spend time with him & he can take pictures & video for us!!! That is just awesome too because it is very hard to get pictures while Zumba'ing! :)

Tickets, Check...Camera & Video, Check...Tons of pink, CHECK! Yes, I said Pink! LOL. Rachel had made the coolest shirts. On the front they have a Pirate on them ( after the Zumba we go to a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game where Beto throws out the first pitch ) And it says We Treasure Our Chests. On the back is says Mueve La Cadera (Move your hips/body) with a Number 11 for the year! They are super Cool! The letters are in black & Gold (Pirates ) & the shirts are pink :)

We are going to run into a few instructor friends of Rachel's I have met & friended too. That should be great! We also had sat with for hours for the Today Show & friended an instructor from NYC that is going to be coming down too! Would be very cool if we ran into her. We are going really early so I am sure we will.

Zumba just opens some awesome doors! What a neat experience!

Well, I better get moving! We are leaving early, so 9:30! Woot Woot!!

A friend started Zumba Last night!

 After reading my posts & talking to me about it, A friend in Connecticut went to her first Zumba class last night! Woot Woot!!!! I am soooo glad she started! I wish I could have been there for her first class, but I am just glad I could be kind of a motivation from a far! She said it was interesting LOL. But, She is going back! She was saying she couldn't figure out where to put her feet, so not sure she got a work out. I let her know, She still did get a work out & the more she goes the more she will know where to put her feet! I so remember that stage! LOL. And even know, New Song, where do my arms go, my feet go, what are we doing?! LOL. But that is fun too! Figuring it all out!

I hope she continues on! But I am so glad she started :) Wooo Hooooo!!!

Boom Boom Mamma

Today was great Rachel Zumba. I love when it runs over, oppps! LOL. Makes it all the more fun when it ends up being longer than an hour.

We were missing a few today but it happens here & there. I am just loving Boom Boom Mamma. That song is just so much fun. Course, I also Love La Bamba too. LOL. We were all silly today & did the line like 3 inches apart, right on top of each other, Hee hee! JUST TOO FUN!

One song I was all proud as Rachel pointed out to watch me for the "harder" step & she was doing the "easier" step for others. Made me smile ear to ear :)

Then Heather & I went walking. We got in 3 miles. Yay! My step count for today is 17, 616. Woot!

 Now it is time to detox & get ready for bed once Jake leaves for work. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! Party In Pink In Pittsburgh with Beto & Company!!!!

Lets see how this goes...

A wonderful friend of mine said, You should start a blog. Me? Why the heck would anyone want to follow a blog by me? She said all the ones interested in your journey with Zumba, Weight loss, etc. I said well who would that be? All those people that congrats you or that are starting Zumba now because of your posts. Ohh... Maybe then?

So we will see LOL. What better day to start this then a Zumba night! Woot Woot!

I am very new to this blog thing so be gentle with me.

Wednesday I announced I did in fact lose that one pesky pound that was holding me from my goal. I am down to 160, which 46 pounds lost! I am down from an 18w to a Size 10, and those size 10's aren't very tight :). I know I have lost alot of inches, just don't know how many as I lost my start numbers.

I am off my high cholesterol meds, I am off my Fibromyalgia Meds. I am dealing with my major Anxiety Issues way better. ( Still have days but always will ). I am way more upbeat, bouncy & smiling ( like I used to be for those that haven't seen me in years ). I don't sit around the house trying to tell myself to get up to do this or that. I still have my Flares, My soreness & sleep issues, but no where near like I did. Big one also, I don't have headaches all the time. It was getting to the point where 6 out of 7 days I had headaches & at least once a week a migraine. Now, my migraines are maybe once a month or 6 weeks. And headaches are very rare. I feel on top of the world most times, and so thankful that I finally said enough, what is this Zumba all about!

Zumba Addiction is really the only way to describe it, however this is one addiction that should catch on more not less. Zumba gives you somewhere to go, people that want you there, that miss you if you are gone. Zumba gives you new friends looking for the same things as you. Zumba lets you meet knew people, go to new places & experience new things. Zumba gives you confidence you couldn't find before. Zumba helps you find your smile you might have been missing. Zumba, helps you lose weight, get healthy, get in shape & most of all. ZUMBA MAKES YOU HAVE FUN!

I look back now at almost 7 months. I have been to 3 Zumbathons, 2 Master Classes, 1 Jam Class, Did two Demo's,  Zumba'ed in NYC on Today Show, Going tomorrow To Zumba in Pittsburgh with Beto & Crew. I have met so many wonderful people & tried so many things. I am so thankful.

So many people have said you are an inspiration. I would look around, Who? Me? No way. But, the more I am told, the more I smile! I hope I can inspire someone for any of the above reasons to get out there & try it! So I will try out this blog of my day to day Zumba life & hope that more people get inspired to go & try it! You won't regret it!
